Multilingual library in Pasila

Occasionally Finnish language studies have a brief break and we make some field trips in Helsinki, Espoo, Kauniainen and Vantaa. This time we visited Pasila multilingual library, which has the largest collection of books in so called rare languages in Finland, which means other than Finnish, Swedish and big European languages.

3d printers are also available in Pasila library
We saw different services of the impressive library system, all from books to sewing machines and 3d-printers.
After the tour we had a possibility to find books for adult and for children in various different languages such as in Ukrainian, Kurdish, Farsi, Urdu, Chinese, Amharic and Tagalog.
This was truely an interesting place. And it is worth to read to your children in your own language.
