Part of our Finnish language and cultural studies is a series "Church in Finland". This week we visited the nearby Kauniainen church close to the school.

Besides having a tour in the church, which is quite modern building, our class was offered coffee and tea an freshly baked delicious sweet rolls.

As a part of the visit, a deacon of the parish of Kauniainen, told about her wide range of work. We learned about diakonia, the service that church does for the poor, the needy, the lonely and others who are less fortunate in the society.

The visit was interesting and educational. We must learn to serve one another. Especially those who need help the most.
