On Friday 5.12 we celebrated the Finnish independence a little early due to the real Independence Day landing on Saturday 6.12. this year.

The Independence Day celebration consisted of a speech and musical performances from Jean Sibelius, the national composer of Finland.

On Eve of the Independence Day, the students of the Finnish Bible Institute gathered for our celebration. The event was kicked off by a great speech from one of our teachers followed by a performance of the Finnish national anthem. Ending the celebration with a beautiful performance of Jean Sibelius' Finlandia.
