A visit to the National Gallery Ateneum
As a part of our Finnish language course, we visited the Finnish National Gallery, Ateneum
Our students got to see the finest Finnish classic art pieces as we visited Ateneum in Helsinki center.
Our students visited Ateneum, giving them the chance to see some classic art pieces in person as well as learning a little about Finnish history in the process. The pieces gave our students a clear view into how Finnish life has progressed over the years, from farm life to moving into cities. On top of the classics, our students also got to see some more recent art from the last century.
We took a short tour on Finnish art from the 18th century to more modern art in the lead of the teacher in charge, Jussi Seppälä. The Finnish National Gallery Ateneum is really a remarkable place to visit and learn about the art history.
