Public libraries are important part of society in Finland. As a part of our Finnish language and integration courses we make educational trips to different places.

This time we visited library in Kauniainen, which is near to the school. Kauniainen libaray is a part of Helmet-libraries which covers Espoo, Vantaa and Helsinki besides Kauniainen.

As a part of the visit we familiarized to the diverse library services which include other things besides the books, such as tools and even skates.

There was also a possibility to get a library card. It is free of charge and the same card fuctions in Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen.
