Writing exercises are an important part while preparing for the YKI-test — Here are some tips

YKI-test (National Language Proficiency Test) consists of four parts: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, writing and speaking. Our YKI-training prepares you to all of them.
Here are some helpful tips about the writing exercise:
- You have 55 minutes for the writing part and you should be able to write two (or three) texts during that time. Most often one of the text is shorter and another is longer and argumentative.
- The texts are usually quite similar from test to another. It is wise to practise same topics that have been in the previous texts, they might occur again.
- The text types are usually short and informal text that you would send to your friend or family member, short and more formal message that you could send to your lessor, doctor or a dentist. The third possible type are argumentative writings such as opinions where you state your position and argue for it.
- The connections, grammar and structure are valued especially if you are aiming for the higher marks.
