Celebrating 80 years of the Finnish Bible Institute
On Monday 17th of November the Finnish Bible Institute celebrated it's 80th anniversary with speeches, prayer and musical performances.
The Finnish Bible institute celebrated its 80th anniversary this week. Letting the students and the staff alike enjoy a event featuring speeches, musical performances and hymns.
We had the pleasure of listening to the Director Marja-Kaarina Marttila's speech about the history of the Finnish Bible Institute. We also had a special guest in the previous director, Rev. Dr. Timo Junkkaala of the Finnish Bible Institute, speaking about his own time as a director at the Institute. The speeches were then followed by musical performance by our very own music course. We also had a speech by our youngest teacher, Rev. Jussi Seppälä, who is also in charge of the integration education about the future of the Institute. We had finally one last musical performance to close out the event, after which everyone present got to enjoy some delicious cake in the cafeteria.
Coffee and cake, so that was a real celebration.
