On Thursday 13.1.2026 the Finnish Bible Institute upheld its tradition of starting the spring semester off with what we've named "Hat day". But what does the Hat day entail?
The Hat day consists of wearing some kind of head wear, be it silly or something that has to do with your culture or something that tells about your life.
Hat day is in the beginning of our spring semester to give opportunity for those students who have started their studies after Christmas holiday to get to know other students, teachers and the staff.
Tuesday at 10:00 we had a gathering at the church hall held by our very own director. This gathering consisted of an introduction of some staff to our new students as well as a showing of different head wear from our different courses. The courses were tasked with voting for their favourite hat among themselves which then was presented. The event was capped off with a chance to get acquainted with others and learn about each others headwear.
Headwears and hats are also a great conversation opener, when teachers, students and staff got to know each other.
