Shrovetide celebrations at the Finnish Bible Institute
On Tuesday 24.2.2026 the whole school gathered outside to partake in some activities in honour of Shrovetide.
The Shrovetide activities began with a sledding competition. The winner of the competition was graded on their imagination and style.
This year's winners were a pair of students from our Finnish language and integration course As a Christian in Finland.
Following the competition, we headed towards the Gallträsk lake. There the students had the chance to go for a walk, go skiing, go ice skating or even playing some football in the snow.
Of course, there was also a traditional spinning pole sled which a few of our students and even teachers tried out.
