Some basic skills in first aid, such as resuscitation, dialing to emergency number and taking care of the fainted, the unconcious or the massive acute bleeding included to the course.

Spring celebrations end the academic year and the semester in the Finnish Bible Institute

The last course week of our Finnish language and integration course started with fun visit from Kauniainen by train and ferry to the island of Suomenlinna, a 18th and 19th century sea fortress south from the center of Helsinki.

On Wednesday 18th of May we made a small trip from Kauniainen to Espoo by car. Only a few kilometers away is located the 19th century house and farm museum, Glims.

We made a small field trip from Kauniainen to Helsinki by train and visited Finnish National Museum. Finnish history is a part of the Finnish language and integration course and it gives a good perspective to the counrty and its culture.

If you are looking for intensive Finnish language courses or courses on June, there are organized two week-long courses in June in the Finnish Bible Institute (Suomen Raamattuopisto) in Kauniainen.

In autumn there are available “As a Christian in Finland”, a year-long course that does not require previous knowledge in Finnish language.

On Friday March 31, we celebrated the finishing of Spring 2023 YKI-training. The course lasted for three months. In the celebration we had speeches by principal Marja-Kaarina Marttila, by teachers and by students.

The environmental issues and recycling are part of the curriculum. This week, we learned Finnish vocabulary on environment, natural conservation, recycling and related topics.
