Finnish Course for Immigrants

On Wednesday 23 November the Finnish language courses YKI-training and As A Christian In Finland had a joined little Christmas celebration.

The aim of the Finnish language and integration courses is naturally to be able to continue studies or working life in Finland. Sometimes that might require new studies.

On Friday November 25 we celebrated the graduation and finishing of our three months long YKI-course

On Wednesday 16 November our Finnish language and integration courses visited the Finnish parliament. This visit was the last part of our course part about Finnish society. In this course, besides the language, we learn about Finnish society and how to integrate and participate in it.

In our Finnish language and integration courses, As A Christian in Finland and YKI-training, we have people from all continents and all around the world. This day gives us the possibility to learn about our different cultures and brings the Finnish and immigrant students together.

Finnish language and integration courses “As a Christian in Finland” and “YKI-training” are your path to the Finnish language, culture and society.

Finnish language and integration courses “As a Christian in Finland” and “YKI-trainig” have started 30 August. There are more than 30 students in these courses combined coming from Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen.

In the autumn there will start two courses: a year-long integration course “As a Christian in Finland”, which has no requirement of previous knowledge in Finnish and a three-month-long YKI-trainig that prepares for the intermediate National Certificate of Language Proficiency (YKI-test).

The Finnish language and integration course “As a Christian in Finland” in Finnish Bible Institute in Kauniainen includes also educational trips in Helsinki region. Understanding the Finnish language is important but also history and culture are significant. We visited Finnish National Museum as a part of our course.
